Our Purpose
The Gonzales Youth Center is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment in which to host educational, recreational and social activities for students in the 6th through 8th grades in the Gonzales community.

Our purpose is to provide kids a place to relax, express themselves in a positive manor and to learn skills that will aid them througout their lives. We have so much to offer here from: special classes, homework help, arts and crafts, to recreation such as Basketball, Football, Pool, and Volleyball.  See a more complete ACTIVITY list below.             For
By giving the youth of Gonzales these alternative activities, we are preventing violence and juvenile crime, making new friendships and just plain having a good time.

Why do we care so much about our kids you ask? Kids are our future and our greatest natural resource.

Our motto:  Kids... Our Greatest Natural Resource, means a whole lot to us here at the center. Kids have the power to change the world. Kids are our future leaders and peace advocates, the ones who need to be molded into responsible adults who will care for life, knowledge, and peace. What we are trying to do is help find their interests, set goals and make good choices to change their lives for the better.

So as you can see we are trying our best to help provide a place for kids to relax, have a good time, and learn. If you are interested in some of the other things we do here or have suggestions for other programs, please don't be afraid to contact us.
Thank you,
